From here, I feel that we need some researching and presentation experience. I wonder if there is some way to do this in a "public" forum like entering a contest or if this would just complicate things for the kids.
I think I'm going to suggest that they start a notebook or folder of some kind on a topic, any topic, and learn how to collect information and focus it and display it.
