At least one kid in California...

....was happy yesterday when the Packers beat the 49ers yesterday at Monster Park.

Sean got to see his hero Brett Favre play a great game.
He's been a fan since he was about 9 years old.

They had some nice seats close to the end zone. The four hour drive from our corner of the Sierra mountains was definitely worth it for him and his dad, even if Kevin didn't get to see his longtime favorite team the 49ers come out on top this time. But this will be a good father-son memory for both of them.

"In completing 22 of 34 attempts for 293 yards and two touchdowns on Sunday, Favre dazzled the 49ers and the 68,539 on hand.

"He did all the things that make him Brett Favre," 49ers middle linebacker Jeff Ulbrich said. "It was the Favre we've come to know and love over the years. Throwing across his body, keeping the ball alive, doing the things he needed to do to keep his team in the game."

"Favre, 37, hadn't played in San Francisco since a 20-14 win in 2002. One of his most memorable games came a year later when, a day after the death of his father, he threw four touchdown passes in a 41-7 rout of Oakland in a game played across San Francisco Bay."

That must have been quite a game to see - thanks for posting the pictures! My dad and his mom grew up within blocks what I still like to think of as Candlestick Park.

Oh what fun and what a nice way for them to spend time together!

I bet 8 hours total in the car is great for conversation, too!
