Categories for Toys

I went through the toys yesterday and assigned categories. Next task is to start slowly weeding down in each category (how many stuffed toys and toy cars do two little boys need)

Categories:

1. Stuffies
2. Animals (realistic style)
3. Figures (action, realistic)
4. Vehicles
5. Duplos and Megablocks
6. Waffle Blocks
7. Weapons
8. Sports and Active Play Equipment
9. Dress Up Clothes
10. Electronic Learning Toys and Games
11. Little Things (game parts, collections, smaller action figures, and that kind of thing -- basically, anything that promptly drops to the bottom of the toy chest -- I keep these in a separate bin and we sort through it every once in a while).
12. TRASH and giveaways -- I try to find a couple of dozen every time I sort through the toys.
    

Then of course there are books, games, puzzles, videos, tapes, CDs and musical equipment, but these tend to be organized differently.

I actually got a fair bit done yesterday and the house looks quite a bit cleaner. The main problem right now is books in piles everywhere..... and all the grimy corners that haven't been cleaned for some time. I did scrub the toilets and the fridge today.
