Round-Up

I wrote a post on New Years Resolutions. To add to my other resolutions, I’ve resolved to link my other posts here IF it doesn’t get too clunky. Which it may — we’ll see. How do I decide what goes on that blog and what goes here? I can’t say I really know. I usually journal and process more here, I guess, at least nowadays. And I put things on here that need to be in categories.

Clare started a scrapbook today. It turned out quite beautiful. She printed out black and white pictures and then laid them on an ivory background with little hints of color using cut-outs from some design paper I found when I was visiting my parents in Alaska. The theme is visits to and from some particular friends of ours who have daughters.

Aidan fell down the stairs. He was angry about something and going full tilt through the gates and then just rolled down. He was shaken up but no visible marks at all. He told me he needed bandaids for his forehead and his knee, so I am guessing those were the parts that got the most bumping. Note to self: next time he is hurt, ask him where he needs bandaids, since he always consistently refuses to tell me where he is hurt, seemingly thinking that admission will make the pain more real. Worth a try!

Sean has started on math again — adding and subtracting rational numbers. He’s not exactly thrilled. But he continues to “get it” quite readily. He has a kettleball now to do some weightlifting. He and Kevin do lifting together so Kevin can give him some help. He also has a DVD on quarterback training since that is his goal for the summer — to be the qb for the Pop Warner senior division. He was critiquing the OSU/Florida game today using examples of the DVD’s teaching on fundamentals Wink

Paddy was sick on Sunday but seems better today and hungry.

JoVE has a post on her daughters’ notebooks.
